Ingredients :-
1kg dried chillies - soaked overnight in hot-water
9 medium sized red onions, peeled & chopped
2 whole cloves garlic
1 whole root fresh ginger, peeled & chopped
1 sauce plate full of belacan (dried shrimp paste)
Method :-
1. Blend in blender a handful at a time, the
chillie, chopped onions, ginger, a few cloves garlic and 2 pinches of belacan
2. Add a quarter cup water to each blend to smoothen the paste.
3. Store in glass jars in freezer/fridge.
4. When cooking any sambal dish, just add a few tablespoons to your sambal dish, with sugar and
salt to taste.
